Alrighty so this one has been overdue for a little while but I figured it was about time I updated you guys one my gigs as a DJ in Brisbane!
Brighty Thursdays - Young Guns Grand Final
I mentioned this event in my last gig blog but since then the grand final has been over and done with! Unfortunately I didn't take the win this time around but I was really happy with my overall performance, met a lot of amazing people and am still in contact with the judges from the competition! The Brightside was such a great venue to play at and to be able to perform alongside such amazing up and coming talent in the Brisbane scene was an absolute privilege. Even managed to snag some cheeky photos!

Aviary Fridays - First solo set and more b2b bangers with KIIPS
Since my last update on my gigs at Aviary Fridays, I have been booked another 3 times! 2 of these being more B2B sets my good mate KIIPS and the other one being my first solo set! Aviary Fridays is always such a vibe to play and it gives me a chance to test my abilities and productions in a live environment setting to real audiences. My solo set was something I'll always remember and being able to share that with my friends and others who came out to watch me just gives me so much joy. In my most recent B2B with KIIPS I also got to test out my original track 'Who Am I?' as well as my first ever mashup/edit which was ridiculously fun. As a matter of fact, that entire B2B set in particular was completely free-styled as both of us were so busy we never got time to make a set that week. Regardless of this, it still went really well and we managed to pull a decent amount of people up to the top floor for the opening set!
Bangers N Mash B2B with FEIA
Bangers N Mash was an event I briefly mentioned in my last blog as an SAE Student showcase in a small bar in Fortitude Valley known as SlingShot! FEIA as myself were given an hour slot to play from 8:45 - 9:45 and even though it was early, we still had our friends and a decent number of people walking by the bar stop in and groove! Unfortunately ya boi stepped in a stray power lead halfway through the set and cut everything off halfway through but this didn't stop us! After quickly getting everything back up and running and having some cheeky banter with the crowd, we were straight back into smashing out tunes! Once our set ended, our good friend Chris Jimmey was on after us however, he unfortunately experienced USB malfunctions in the beginning of his set which delayed his start time. Coincidentally, I just happened to have spare playlists left on my USB and Chris had brought his laptop with him. This enabled me to buy him some time to get his USB ready while I spontaneously played a 20 minute freestyle house set :P. Needless to say, we got everyone back on their feet on the night was a success! If I had to explain it in once sentence it'd sound like this - Small place, big vibes.
